Parents of both the families have agreed for their marriage. The betrothal function was held. At this function it was decided to hold the marriage of 27th morning at 9 a m at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Mandapam in Chennai. On the same day the reception will be held in the same venue at 6 pm. Elaborate arrangements are being made by both the family members. |

Though Mohanlal is the leading actor in the Malayalam film industry, he is domiciled in Chennai only. His first Tamil film that he had acted was Iruvar directed by Manirathnam. Later on he continued to act in a Tamil film titled Pop Corn directed by Nasser. After a long hiatus, he had acted in the Tamil film titled Unnai Pol Oruvan which had Kamal Haasan in the lead role. Mohanlal who is currently sharing the screen with Vijay in Jilla will also act in a film titled Vetrimaaran. This film will be directed by Major Ravi. Earlier Mohanlal and Jiiva shared the screen in the film titled Aran which was also directed by Major Ravi. The film is about a mafia gang who kidnaps girl students. Since there was difference of opinion between Vadivelu and Arthur Wilson, Arthur Wilson quit this film. It is also understood that another cinematographer had also quit this film. Because of this Vadivelu has left for his home town. Now it is learnt that the project has been shelved. When asked one of the crew members about this, he said, " It is true in the initial stages, there was some issues with Arthur Wilson. Later on Ramnath Shetty was signed to handle the camera. The first schedule of shooting was completed in Chennai. When some media people approached Vadivelu, he refrained from speaking to them. So immediately they spread the rumour that the film was dropped. Last week Latha Rao was signed for the female lead role. The sequences featuring her will be shot very soon." |
