| Rs 5 Crores jewels for Anushka Posted: 02 Jul 2013 08:48 PM PDT  Rani Rudrama Devi is a film which is being produced in Tamil and Telugu languages. This film has Anushka in the lead role. She is wearing Rs 5 Crores worth of jewels in this film. Neeta Lula who was the costume designer for the super hit Hindi historical film Jodhaa Akbar which had Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles is working as a costume designer for Rani Rudrama Devi. This high budgeted glittering film is being directed by Gunasekaran. He had earlier directed the Telugu film Okkadu which is the remake of the Tamil hit film Ghilli. Sources say that Anushka's costume will be much spoken about than of Aishwarya Rai in Jodhaa Akbar. Rani Rudrama Devi is a 3D historical film which has been produced at a cost of Rs 40 Crores. Ilayaraja has composed music for this film. Raana, Prakash Raj and Krishna Raj are donning important roles in this film. Thota Tharani has erected costly sets. Ajay Vincent is handling the camera. The shooting of this film has taken place for 35 days. The entire shooting of this film will be completed by the month of December. |

Now he is remaking his Tamil hit film Thuppaki in Hindi. A R Murugadoss has decided to direct a direct Hindi film. This film is being produced by Aascar Ravichandran. This film is about a boxer who hails from North Chennai. So a Hollywood actor whose height is 7 feet and weighs 150 kilos has been signed to clash with Jayam Ravi. The actor is Nathan Jones, who has acted in numerous Hollywood films including Troy, Police Story 4 and Tom Yum Goong. He is being paid Rs 1 Crores and Rs 50 Lakhs for single fighting sequence. The boxing sequence featuring Jayam Ravi and Nathan Jones will be shot in Chennai in a set erected in 2 acres at Prasad Studios. The cost of the set is Rs 3 Crores. Art director Mohan is erecting this set. 140 laborers are working day and night to erect this set. |

This film has been directed by Krishna who had earlier directed Sillunu Oru Kadhal. Sathya had composed the music for this film. The audio CD of this film was released recently at Kamala Theatres in Chennai. A R Rahman released the audio CD which was received by director A R Murugadoss. A R Rahman while speaking on this occasion said, "Dhanu sir had introduced director Krishna to me. He will narrate the story very emotionally. I liked that very much. He has directed this film which has quality. The film gives the feel that it has top actors in it. If we make a film, it should have quality. Talks are being held with me to compose music for a couple of films. Even if I get 10 Hindi films, I will work for the film that has quality. I can see the hard work in this film." |
